Emmit Earl Henderson

Emmit Earl Henderson age 94, of Littleville, passed away on February 8,2022 following an extended illness. Emmit was a veteran of the United States Army where he served in World War II, then serving in the Korean War. He received many Medals of Honor. He loved all his nieces, nephews, family and friends who lovingly knew him as Uncle Emmit. He is survived by his nieces and nephews, Jack (Kathy) Henderson, Angelique Orchard (Rod), Betty Bradford (Don), Peggy Hipps (Charles), Gary Blackman. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Leslie Henderson; wife, Joyce Henderson; brothers, Charles Henderson, John Henderson, Ray Henderson, Billy Henderson, Kenneth Henderson, Jack Henderson. Visitation will be Sunday, February 13, 2022, from 130pm – 230 pm at Pinkard Funeral Home of Russellville. A graveside service will follow at Red Bay City Cemetery with Bro. Ian Butler officiating. Pallbearers will be Michael Bradford, Nathan Bishop, Zack Bishop, Erick Hipps, Allan Hipps, Skylar Holland and Drake Hipps. Honorary Pallbearers will be Spencer Holland, Zain Holland and Braxton Hipps. Pinkard Funeral Home of Russellville, Alabama assisted the family.
