Pauline Woodard White

Pauline Woodard White was born on October 21, 1929 in Russellville, Alabama to the late Frank and Cera Lee Woodard. She was preceded in death by two loving sons, Larry and Ronald White; siblings, brother Walter Woodard and two sisters, Jessie Mae Brown and America Kathlyn Graham. Pauline departed her life July 26, 2020 peacefully in her home surrounded by loved ones. She confessed to Christ at an early age and joined Gain Street Missionary Baptist Church where she played the piano and sang to the glory of God. She later attended St. Paul CME Church where she continued her journey as faithful member until her health began to decline. She was a graduate of Reedtown High School class of 1948. She was married to the late Fred White, Jr. in 1950 to 1962, and moved to Cleveland, Ohio. From this union, they had three sons, Larry, Ronald, and Reggie. Late the family moved back to Russellville, Alabama. Pauline was a loving mother, daughter, sister and friend. She loved cooking and taking care of her family. She worked for 30 years in the Russellville Courthouse where she retired in 1995. After retirement she worked for the Franklin County Extension food program, where she joyfully went to homes and taught families how to cook on a budget. She leaves to cherish her memories: son Reggie (Toni) White of South Carolina; brothers, Bobby (Sue) Woodard of Louisville, Kentucky and Andrew (Nita) Woodard of Chicago, Illinois; grandchildren: Derrick Charles White, Rodney White, Ronald White, Tremaine White and Ava White, all of Russellville; two brother-in-law Joe Graham and Wadell Brown; two daughters-in-law Arlita White, Russellville and Toni White of South Carolina; and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends. Graveside services will be Friday, July 31, 2020, at 11:00 A.M. at Luke Town Cemetery, Russellville. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Rodney White, Tremaine White, Ronald White, Reginald White II, Ryan White, and Richard White with Ronald White, Jr., Trejon White, Kevin Woodard and Anthony Graham serving as honorary bearers. Flower girls will be granddaughters, Reaghan White, Arlita White, and Ava White. Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville, is directing.
